Lau Haizetara
Forum2025
The 21st Lau Haizetara San Sebastian Documentary Co-Production Forum will be held on September 22, 23, and 24 as part of the 73rd San Sebastian Film Festival.
This Forum offers an ideal space to present a documentary project to potential funders and experts in the audiovisual and film sectors. It is a meeting point for industry professionals linked to the documentary genre.
The forum has three main phases: Workshops, Pitching Sessions, and Individual Meetings.
Forum 2025
Workshops
Los Talleres son una actividad de formación
The two days prior to the forum (September 22 and 23) offer producers the opportunity to develop their projects with professional experts who will provide the appropriate tools to maximize their potential.

The pitching preparation workshops are a mandatory training activity, giving selected producers and directors the opportunity to work on their documentary.
These two intense days include exhaustive presentation work, both on the storyline and the teaser. The project’s potential is optimized for its upcoming presentation. In addition, guidelines will be provided to perfect individual meetings with the Commissioning Editors.
These workshops will take place the two days prior to the pitching (September 22 and 23, 2025). They will be taught by specialized tutors, who will work individually with each project member, while also encouraging group work.
Attendance at these workshops is mandatory for both the producer and the project director. In the case of co-production and/or co-direction, one producer and one director will continue to be involved per project.
Pitching
Pitching Sessions
The event will take place on the morning of September 24th at Tabakalera, and producers will present their projects to a panel of distinguished Commissioning Editors. This event will be moderated by an expert on the subject and will include simultaneous translation. Projects can be submitted in Spanish or English, and each project will have a 7-minute presentation time (teaser included).

The selected projects will be presented on the morning of September 24th, 2025, to the Commissioning Editors and accredited professionals.
The pitching sessions will be 7 minutes long (teaser included) and will be moderated by Catherine Ulmer, an experienced professional in the documentary industry.
